leading the way to the future

Founded in 1991, our congregation's focus since inception has been on providing authentic Hebraic spirituality and fellowship within the context of American life and culture.

As a modern, post-denominational Sephardic Jewish congregation, we aim to be true to our prophetic calling, "to be a light unto the world," to be active in transforming our communities by increasing faith in the power of G-d, and by instilling hope through the promotion of that Hebrew wisdom which has inspired humanity throughout the ages.

For over thirty-five years, our goal has been to re-imagine Judaism, re-creating it as it was meant to be lived: with an eye towards the future, recognizing the teachings of the past.

Although we are not a large congregation, numbering less than 300 families in 2022, we have nevertheless played a major role among our peers and continue to lead the way within the Jewish community in the United States in terms of relevant liturgy, educational programming, and effective community initiatives.

We invite those who are of Sephardic heritage or not, who are searching for a connexion with the transcendant G-d, to come celebrate the gift of life with us in a relevant, informed and affirming context where all people can live together in peace.

Our self-defense courses, first introduced late Fall, are still on-going. Contact the office for more information about attending and visit the News page to see the content of the courses.

Thanks to these courses over 400 Jews and their families have now been trained in Krav Maga, the art of Jewish self-defense and are familiar with how to operate semi-automatic weaponry and self-defense ordnance. This is especially appropriate now that President Biden has decided to throw the Jewish people "under the bus" and leave us to fend for ourselves against all manner of anarchists and anti-Semites ("In every generation, there will be those who will rise up against us, to destroy us").

Thank you for letting us show you how to be a stronger and more self-reliant Jew, and encourage your friends and neighbors in what you've learned, since they will be your only allies when the Brown-shirts begin marching this time. This time around, we won't be facing one or two Vital Hassons, but literally hundreds and most too young to even learn about the Holocaust. But unlike the 30's and 40's we are prepared.
